The Cyber Security Vulnerability Management Analyst is a critical role in maintaining Optus’s cyber security posture by identifying, assessing, and addressing potential security weakness. The role sits within Cyber Assurance domain. The role will support Optus to realise its vision of becoming Australia’s most loved everyday brand with lasting customer relationships.

Job Description

Qualification: Degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

The Vulnerability Management Analyst will:

• Work with various stakeholders across Optus and external to onboard platforms to Vulnerability Management tool and perform continuous scans throughout the lifetime of the platform.

• Work with the broader team to improve the process and technical knowledge within Vulnerability Management team.

• You will drive cyber security operational excellence by helping to create processes, procedures, and automation to improve efficiency in our day-to-day Vulnerability Management practices. 

• You will support internal customers, ensuring that their needs and issues are addressed. 

• The role requires a passion for cyber security, as well as being comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Skills

• Well versed with VM tools – Tenable Nessus and Palo Alto Prisma.

• Experience with public cloud solutions IAAS, SAAS and PAAS (AWS and Google)

• Strong understanding of windows and Linux OS and authentication including service account concept.

• Strong stakeholder management and communications skills.

• Strong excel and reporting skills.

• Network knowledge (TCP, UDP, ports, protocols, Ping, traceroute etc.) with troubleshooting skills.

• Understanding of JIRA software for issue creation and reporting.

Education & Experience:3 to  6 years 

Compensation:(depending upon the interview)
