As Integration Lead is responsible for delivering java APIs that can be consumed by mobile applications with high quality and standards. The Integration Lead should guide other developers and assist the Chapter Lead to implement the agreed solutions and schedules. 

The Integration Lead is a subject matter expert in the chapter skillset, and becomes champaign in certain areas of the chapter technical stacks. An Integration Lead is also a contributing member of an Agile Squad with additional responsibilities. 

The Integration Lead will foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, steering and adhering to the chapter’s vision and how work is conducted and take opportunities to innovate and improve the chapter’s eco systems. The Integration Lead will assist the Chapter Lead in defining and implementing the strategic vision for the chapter across the tribes and the chapter. 

The success of this role will come from the Lead’s ability to work across the Optus Technology stacks and building great working relationships with squad members, peers across domains and vendors/third parties as well. 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

• Comprehensive knowledge of Spring Framework, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Spring OAuth2, Spring AOP and Spring Data are essential

• Experiences with micro-services and docker are required

• Strong hands-on experience in design and architecture in microservices space.

• Excellent problem-solving skills 

• Eager to learn new skills and fast learner

• Extensive Java 8/11/17 and/or Kotlin commercial experiences

• Proficiency in space of Agile Mindset and Agile Ways of Working

• Provide guidance to less experienced developers

• Champaign in certain areas of the Chapter eco systems

• Provide technical leaderships and foster innovation

• Assisting Chapter Lead in interviews and recruitments

• Contribute as a Squad member and be able to task-switch. Be aware of multiple business initiatives and to provide optimal support across all of them, including assisting developers in other squads. 

• Negotiating and implementing change that benefits the chapter without impacting squad deliverables across multiple tribes

Technical Skills

• Commercial Cloud and API Gateway experiences

• Spring WebFlux 

• AWS infrastructure or other cloud experience

• NoSQL database experience

• Security or PCI Compliance

• Application Performance Tuning

• A generalist, who has experience across the full stack including java backend APIs, Android or iOS app development"

Education & Experience:8 to 11 years
